About Attorney

Lun Pieper, originally from Burma (Myanmar), has lived Burma and then in the Philippines as a child where she finished her high school. Upon return to Burma, she worked at the only American law firm in Burma at the time, for approximately five years before coming to the United States. While in law school, Lun successfully litigated asylum case and Cancellation of Removal cases at the Executive Office for Immigration Review and as a founding student member of the Law School’s Immigration Law Clinic. Lun started her solo practice after law school and worked as a contract public defender for the Marion County Public Defender Agency. She then joined the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office as a Deputy Prosecutor and Director of Burmese Outreach for the Office. Lun later joined the Indiana Supreme Court as a staff attorney for the then Race & Gender Fairness Commission and Language Access for the Indiana Judiciary. Lun has also served as a Judge Pro Tempore when called upon. Prior to resuming her solo practice, Lun held consultancy positions at the United Nations related to human rights documentation, international criminal investigations, accountability, and justice mechanisms.
